Our global business

With our global head office based in Milan, Italy, and direct operations in the world’s 38 most important eyewear markets, we are structured as a group of regional businesses in Australasia and South Africa, China and Japan, the Americas, UK / Europe and the Middle East. We own or license, market and distribute an impressive, international portfolio of premium and luxury optical and sun brands. Our brand portfolio currently has eight house brands and 19 license brands.

We dominate the wholesale market worldwide (30% of our business) and are the leader in the retail market in North America, China, Hong Kong Australia and New Zealand (70% of our business). The Group’s products are designed and manufactured in six Italy-based high-quality manufacturing plants including a dedicated lens R&D and manufacturing facility, and the only two China-based plants wholly owned by a premium eyewear manufacturer. We also have 1 manufacturing plant in India.

We are an extremely financially robust business; every one of our businesses is profitable. We continue to grow rapidly (20% year on year) through both organic growth and smart acquisitions. Our Australasian business

The development of the Luxottica family of companies in Australasia is the result of a number of strategic acquisitions. Australasia is managed centrally from North Ryde, Sydney and supported by offices in Auckland, Cape Town, Hong Kong and Singapore. We have close to 800 retail stores comprising the following leading brands:
